Ben Witherington wonders if perhaps there is a profound difference between truth and information, if we have made the mistake of assuming that access to more information means we "have" more truth. And I quote:
"Discovering truth requires digging not just downloading, it requires
pondering not just printing out, and for it to make a difference in
one’s life it requires embracing not just understanding. The Word does
not become flesh in us just because we are ?n close proximity to it or
have ready access to it."

Great article. BTW, I read your comment to him with Dave’s lyrics. My brother was his roomate for a few years and are still good friends. I got to meet Dave once. Cool dude…I especially liked him because he introduced a different Christ to my brother that he could actually relate to….when no one else could break in. My bro had all the christian info downloaded, but it never became incarnate until he lived with Dave.
Also….those lyrics runs parallel to what I’m reading in Colossians Remixed about postmoderns. Funny how ideas get triggered, then you start to see them everywhere, overlapping in your daily experiences…..
When I was reading through Colossians Remixed I thought of Pedro the Lion songs quite a bit. I actually played one (Priests and Paramedics) in the first session of a class I am teaching on Colossians.
