UPDATE 9/30/10: Check out the videos below of Fitch, Roxburgh and Van Gelder talking about the program.
In January of 2011 my friend Dave Fitch is launching a DMin cohort at Northern Seminary in Missional Leadership. Al Roxburgh and Craig Van Gelder will also be teaching within the program. Between the three of them, Northern’s particular bent toward spiritual formation and missional theology, and the affordability/accessibility of the program, some of you who read my blog may be interested. The whole framework is “learning community”style education.
Some things about the program to highlight:
- Affordability – Under $16,000 over 4 years that can be paid monthly
- Accessibility – courses take place through week-long intensives here in Chicago
- Structure – this is a cohort-based program so that students have the opportunity to form a “community of learning” as opposed to just engaging individualistically.
