A poem inspired by the Apostle Peter’s response to realizing he had done the terrible thing he swore he’d never do (Matt 26:75).
He Went Outside and Wept Bitterly
When circumstances
occasion it,
much good
is accomplished
(indirectly)
by giving yourself over
to bitter weeping.
Because, after all
the only other option
is death, whether
slow or quick.
