Hello Ben,
I was doing some family history research and typing in sternke in various searches I came across your blog. Way to go. Looks great.
I am so pleased that you love books and I assume you love wrestling with them, arguing with them…looking for those choice nuggets of insight…etc.
my wife tells me I have too many books…what kind of nonsense is that??
As I said I have been working on family history stuff but can only work on it now and then as I have so many things going on. Someday in a perfect world I will get it all online on a web page….maybe…lol.
Kathy and I see your mom now and then, go out to eat occasionally…go to a concert occasionally…we saw aron neville, gordon lightfoot, and some blues bands “down by the river”. We enjoy her company very much.
As far as reading and books go…I think it is time for you to WRITE one….
Pat
Hi Pat! Good of you to stop by. It’s been too long… I appreciate your kind comments – I do indeed love to read/wrestle with/argue with my books. I’m doing a Master’s program through a theological school in London, so those kinds of texts take up a lot of my reading time right now.
Funny thing, my wife also tells me I have too many books. I agree this is some kind of nonsense. I do have the writing bug in the back of my mind, we’ll see where it goes…
If you’ll be at the Sternke Christmas this year in Fairmont, I think we’re going to try to make an appearance, so maybe we’ll see you then. Peace,
Ben.
Oh, geez, I read about this! Such a mistake. Also a recipe site I frequent posted a healthy Latke recipe – with Sweet Potatoes, and NO OIL. People were writing comments like “HELLO! The purpose of Latkes is using the oil to remember how the oil burned for days and didn’t run out!” People just don’t know I guess….
