Hi! I’m Ben (and that’s my wife Deb)
I’ve been writing since 2005 on Christian ministry, discipleship, mission, and leadership, because writing helps me process what I’m learning (and I’m always learning). I use this space to jot ideas and riffs and thoughts that might turn into something else later, or not.
These days I spend most of my time on three different projects:
- The Table – an Anglican church in Indianapolis I planted and co-pastor.
- Gravity Leadership – an organization I co-founded and co-lead that trains leaders to live and lead in a way that takes love seriously as the most powerful, grounding reality of the universe.
- Lifesize Digital – a content marketing / digital media outfit I run with Deb. We do copywriting and marketing and stuff for small businesses, churches, and nonprofits.
More About Me
My wife Deb and I live in Indianapolis, where we planted (and I co-pastor) a church. We’ve got four kids (one at home, one in college, two out in the wild), and a little dog named Edith.
My journey in leadership began in high school when I started a punk rock band with my little brother. I learned a lot about leadership, creativity, marketing, and connecting with an audience in those days (and had loads of fun).
Since then, I have been in Christian ministry of some kind or another for over 25 years. I have been a worship leader, pastor, church planter, web designer, business owner, content developer, teacher, trainer, and leadership coach.
You can connect with me on Twitter, Facebook, or by emailing me. I look forward to it!
