One of the things we discussed at the NYC church planter round table last month was the general lack of resources to help people understand how their faith ought to work itself out in the context of their jobs.

I was reminded after my time in New York that if people aren’t growing in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ, then we’re really not doing anything as a church. A suggestion was made that there are five elements that are needed in a person’s life if they are going to grow in maturity as disciples of Jesus.

I went to New York City to visit with some church planters. I came away with seven resolutions, or stuff I’ll be preaching to myself over the next few months.
