Last week I received 20 copies of Viral Hope: Good News from the Urbs to the Burbs. It’s a collection of short essays from 50 different authors articulating the gospel in their own local context. I got to write one of the chapters, and I was inspired to read about the various ways the good news of Jesus is making its way into so many places of the world.
The book was edited by my friend JR Woodward, and is published by Ecclesia Press, which is the nonprofit publishing arm of the Ecclesia Network. Scot McKnight wrote the foreward, and Chris Backert wrote a killer conclusion to the book.
It makes for great Easter season reading: you can read one essay per day in the 50 days from Easter to Pentecost (May 23 this year).
