My wife--who did not grow up in the church--asked me some months ago, why exactly we take communion.  What is the point, the significance?  I&#039;ll confess, i had no greater reason than obedience, and no explanation for that (not that one is necessary) better than the importance of remembering Christ&#039;s sacrifice and proclaim it until He comes again.
Strange enough to say, but somehow my own rationalization of it to her stole some of its significance to me.  Prior to my reasoning through it, rather than simply obeying, it felt more meaningful to me.   And that change, i have not understood.  Now i think i may...
