What you shared makes me think of what Heidi Baker talked about in relation to &quot;having compassion on the next one.&quot;  I think of it as being absolutely present in the moment.  We do tend to to be looking ahead or around a lot, and it&#039;s tough to focus on what or whom is right in front of us.
When we get in God&#039;s pace, it is wonderful how we can be absolutely engaged in the present moment, and that&#039;s when we really begin to see people more, and hear them.  I like how it says God is &quot;an ever-present help in time of need.&quot;  It literally means He is exceedingly present.  He is 100%, absolutely, totally attentive to what is happening at this exact moment.  He is totally present.  I think that&#039;s a very cool thing.
